Nothing Phone (4b) confirmed to use Snapdragon chipset ahead of July 7th launch
Nothing has confirmed another key detail about its upcoming Nothing Phone (4b) ahead of its global and India debut on July 7th. The company has announced that the smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, although the exact chipset will only be revealed during the launch event. The announcement comes just days after multiple leaks and a Geekbench listing suggested the handset could use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 SoC.
Leaked and confirmed specifications
Nothing has only confirmed the presence of a Snapdragon processor so far. However, a recent Geekbench listing points to the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset, paired with 8GB RAM and Android 16-based Nothing OS. Separately, tipster Yogesh Brar claims the Phone (4b) will feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 5,400mAh battery, and a dual rear camera setup led by a 50MP primary sensor. The phone is also expected to be available in 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB storage variants.

The Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 has already been used in smartphones such as the OPPO K13 5G and Realme P3 5G. If priced aggressively, the Phone (4b) could emerge as an alternative to MediaTek Dimensity 6300-powered smartphones that populate this segment.
Nothing has already revealed part of the design through official teasers. Instead of the segmented Glyph Interface seen on previous models, the Phone (4b) will feature a compact Glyph Bar on the camera plateau. It will continue to report charging progress, notifications, and app alerts while giving the rear panel a cleaner appearance. The transparent design language also remains intact, helping the device reinforce the Nothing aesthetic.
Expected price and availability
Nothing will unveil the Phone (4b) globally on July 7th at 4 pm IST. While the company has not announced pricing yet, it’s confirmed that the smartphone will sit below the Phone (4a) series, which starts current at Rs 37,999. Even though the other Snapdragon 6 Gen 4-powered smartphones started well below Rs 20,000, it’s highly unlikely the Phone (4b) will sport a similar price tag. Rising component costs have pushed smartphone prices considerably higher, and Nothing co-founder Carl Pei has explicitly said users shouldn’t expect the prices to stabilise anytime soon.
Most rivals in the segment offer batteries around the 7,000mAh mark, so Nothing will have to make a mark with more than just design and software experience to sway buyers in its favour. Pricing and launch offers will determine how competitive the Phone (4b) is, so users should wait until the July 7 launch to evaluate its cameras, pricing and overall value before making a purchase.
