OnePlus has begun rolling out a new update for the OnePlus 12R in India. The OxygenOS 14.0.0.505 update has introduced several new features, including an AI eraser. This update is also claimed to improve touch control and enhance system stability. Here's more about the new OnePlus software update.
Via its community forum, the Chinese smartphone brand announced the release of a new firmware update, OxygenOS 14.0.0.505, for the OnePlus 12R users in India. It is currently being rolled out to users in batches.
As per the company, the latest update brings the AIGC Remover feature that allows users to remove unwanted objects or people from their photos. Also, with the new update, users can now create photo collages without frames in the Photos app.
The users can also turn on the flashlight by pressing and holding the Volume Down button when the screen is off. Furthermore, it includes the "app-specific volume" feature to enable users to adjust the volume for individual apps as per their preferences.
The new update is also said to enhance the design of the volume bar, touch control experience, and overall system stability.
The OnePlus 12R was launched in India in January. While the OnePlus 12R starts in India at Rs 39,999 for the base 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model, the model with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is available for Rs 45,999.
The OnePlus 12R has a 6.78-inch LTPO 4.0 AMOLED 120Hz display and a peak brightness of 4500 nits. It is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset paired with up to 16GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
The OnePlus 12R features a 50MP main camera (Sony IMX890), an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP macro camera on the rear. A 16MP sensor is placed on the front of the OnePlus 12R for selfies.
This OnePlus phone incorporates a 5,500mAh battery with 100W SUPERVOOC fast charging technology. Along with that, the smartphone offers a SUPERVOOC S Charging Management Chip and Battery Health Engine technology.
The OnePlus 12R features an IP64 rating for water and dust resistance. Other additional features include a USB Type-C port, Dolby Atmos support, stereo speakers, NFC, and more.
