OnePlus is gearing up to expand its portfolio in India with the launch of the OnePlus N6 on June 30th. Coming as a new entry-level offering, the device has now allegedly surfaced on the Geekbench platform, giving us an early look at some of its core specifications related to performance.
The OnePlus N6 is expected to sit in the sub-Rs 25,000 segment, which OnePlus exited for a short while by raising prices of the Nord CE 6 Lite.
An unannounced OnePlus smartphone carrying the model number CPH2955 has appeared on Geekbench, according to a report by Gadgets360. According to tipster Abhishek Yadav, the model number belongs to the upcoming OnePlus N6. The listing reveals an octa-core MediaTek MT6835 chipset, which is believed to be either the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 or Dimensity 6100+ processor. The chip is paired with 5.49GB of RAM, which will likely be marketed as 6GB RAM.
The processor configuration includes six efficiency cores running at 2.0GHz and two performance cores clocked at up to 2.4GHz. The listing also points to an ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU and Android 16 out of the box, likely running OxygenOS 16 software. The phone achieved 788 points in the single-core test and 1,993 points in the multi-core benchmark. These scores suggest performance in line with other affordable smartphones powered by MediaTek’s entry-level 5G chipsets.
While these numbers may not rival devices powered by the Snapdragon 7-series or Dimensity 7000-series chips, they should be sufficient for daily tasks, social media, video streaming and casual gaming. The listing suggests that OnePlus is focusing on battery life and everyday performance rather than chasing benchmark records. The company has revealed the battery capacity to be 8,000mAh, which suggests the USP could be endurance. OnePlus claims the battery can deliver up to three days of usage and maintain healthy performance for up to seven years.
OnePlus has already confirmed that the N6 will launch in India on June 30th at 12 PM IST. The smartphone is expected to be priced between Rs 18,000 and Rs 25,000, placing it against rivals such as the Nothing Phone (3a) Lite, Realme P4 lineup, POCO M-series devices and Redmi 15.
While the company has recently increased prices on several Nord phones, the N6 appears designed to strengthen its presence in the affordable segment and attract first-time OnePlus buyers. The biggest question now is whether the large battery and OxygenOS experience can outweigh the relatively modest processor. If OnePlus manages aggressive pricing closer to the lower end of the expected range, the N6 could become an appealing option for users who prioritise battery life over raw performance.
