OnePlus has revealed new details about the upcoming OnePlus N6 ahead of its India launch on June 30. While the company had already confirmed the massive 8,000mAh battery, OnePlus is now highlighting the phone’s charging capabilities, long-term battery durability, and software longevity.

OnePlus says the N6’s 8,000mAh battery is designed to deliver up to three days of usage on a single charge, making it one of the largest batteries available in its category. Beyond battery size, the company is focusing on long-term ownership. OnePlus claims the battery will retain more than 80 percent of its original health even after seven years of regular charging. While such claims will need real-world validation over time, the promise aligns with a broader industry trend where brands are increasingly emphasising battery lifespan alongside charging speeds.

OnePlus has also announced a 60-month smoothness certification for the N6. According to the company, OxygenOS optimisations will help maintain system responsiveness over five years, with improvements in app launch speeds, multitasking, and animations.
The rest of the hardware remains under wraps, but a recent Geekbench listing for a device believed to be the OnePlus N6 points to a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 or Dimensity 6100+ chipset paired with 6GB RAM. OnePlus appears to be differentiating the N6 through battery life and software experience as given the chipset, the phone is unlikely to compete on benchmark numbers alone.

Expected India pricing
OnePlus has already confirmed that the N6 will launch in India on June 30th at 12 noon IST. Reports suggest the phone could be priced between Rs 18,000 and Rs 25,000. At that price, it is expected to compete with devices such as the Nothing Phone (3a) Lite, Realme P4 series, Redmi 15, and POCO M-series smartphones. The launch is also notable because OnePlus has recently increased prices on several Nord models, making the N6 an important product for maintaining the brand’s presence in the affordable segment.
