OnePlus unveils new Gaming Technology, will debut on OnePlus 15 in India

Highlights
  • OnePlus Gaming Technology combines hardware and software tools to deliver an unmatched gaming experience.
  • OnePlus CPU Scheduler will help in maintaining a stable frame rate of 120fps.
  • The OnePlus Performance Tri-Chip includes three physical chips to optimise gaming performance.

OnePlus has introduced its proprietary Gaming Technology which combines top-notch chip-level hardware along with intelligent software for smoother, more responsive, and immersive gaming.

The OP Gaming Core, the central part of this new architecture, is a self-developed chip-level technology created for gaming scenarios. It comes with a custom CPU Scheduler that optimises the workloads of games, reducing CPU instructions by up to 22.74 percent for lower power consumption and heat generation. This innovative scheduler replaces traditional models with the goal of providing consistent computing power during gameplay.

Additionally, OnePlus brings Next-Gen HyperRendering technology which reengineers the GPU’s rendering process, further boosting per-frame rendering efficiency by 80 percent, and integrating interpolation to increase frame rates in the main chipset. This cuts down on latency that usually arises from chips, providing high-frame-rate gameplay with stable 120fps, high visual fidelity, and minimum power consumption.

The hardware is brought to the next level with the OnePlus Performance Tri-Chip, which includes three dedicated chips: the Performance Chip built on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform, a Touch Response Chip providing ultra-high touch sampling rates to enable even faster and more accurate input, and the Wi-Fi Chip G2, engineered to enhance network stability and reduce lag in weak-signal environments.

OnePlus also announced OP FPS Max as a high-frame-rate gaming ecosystem featuring native 165fps gameplay on a customised 165Hz display. The whole system combines to offer a next-level smooth experience thanks to hardware, software, and ecosystem partnerships. The tech already supports various popular games, with the number growing over time.

The introduction of the OP Gaming Core, OP Performance Tri-Chip, and OP FPS Max technologies signifies the very first time OnePlus has delved hardcore into gaming-focused technologies. This signals the brand’s intent to appeal to the niche but growing category of gamers who would look towards the likes of ASUS for dedicated gaming hardware on their phones.

These features will make their first appearance in the upcoming OnePlus 15, set to launch in India on November 13th. For those who want unmatched gaming performance supported by latest hardware innovations, the OnePlus 15 is looking to be a good buy positioned for hard-core play with the new three-chip arrangement, a customised display, and software optimisations. Specifically, buyers should expect to get stable power efficiency, continuous frame rates, and increased responsiveness — all important components of competitive mobile gaming.

OnePlus’ focus on integrated hardware-software solutions is in step with a growing trend among smartphone brands catering to gaming enthusiasts by delivering devices capable of sustained high frame rates, advanced touch response, and reliable connectivity even when challenged by difficult network conditions. Features such as a 165Hz display and specialised chips for gaming, touch response, and Wi-Fi position OnePlus among leading brands pushing boundaries in mobile gaming performance. OnePlus will be the first phone to launch with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and a native 165Hz display in India, surpassing earlier display standards that commonly ranged between 120Hz and 144Hz displays for the premium segment, save for ASUS.
