Update: OPPO has made the A6c official on its India website. Prices, specs, and colour options are the same as mentioned below.
Original story follows
OPPO is expected to launch a new budget phone in India soon. It’s the OPPO A6c, which launched in select global markets this April. The smartphone is part of OPPO’s A-series, catering to the budget segment. It will join the existing OPPO A6x, A6, and A6s. Its highlight is a large 7,000mAh battery, and the phone also features a stylish design, making it stand out in the budget crowd. The OPPO A6c will launch in India under Rs 15,000, with its launch expected to take place as early as this week or next week, according to industry sources.
OPPO A6c India price, availability (expected)
The OPPO A6c will start at Rs 13,999 for the base variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage. It will launch in another variant with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, which will be available at Rs 16,999. With price hikes across the smartphone industry, it’s not surprising that there’s no 6GB RAM option here, due to rising memory costs.
There’s no launch date reveal yet, but the OPPO A6c will reportedly be available in offline stores later this week. It could be that the OPPO A6c is targeted for the offline market, as OPPO does for select models.

OPPO A6c specifications
Since the OPPO A6c is already official, we can expect it to launch with the same specifications. The smartphone boasts a 7,000mAh battery, which should last for a good two days on regular usage. This could be the key selling point of the A6c. Charging, however, is capped at 15W, which is quite slow even in the budget segment, and would result in longer charging time considering the battery capacity. The OPPO A6c will compete with the Realme C83, which also has a 7,000mAh battery.
Up front is a 6.75-inch HD+ (1570×720 pixels) LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and 900 nits brightness (HBM mode). The handset houses a 13MP primary camera with 1080P video recording at 30 fps, and a 5MP front camera for selfies and video calls. It could be an auxiliary lens at the back alongside the primary camera. This camera setup is quite basic and meant just for casual photography.
Powering the phone is the Unisoc T7250 chipset, mostly used in entry-level phones. This means that the OPPO A6c should be capable of running regular tasks for daily usage and nothing too intensive. The smartphone comes in Feather White, Stone Brown, and Feather Purple colors. In India, the Feather White and Stone Brown colours are tipped to arrive.
The OPPO A6c is a basic budget smartphone offering a large battery and a stylish design. It’s aimed at those who want a large battery phone on a budget. However, those who prioritise performance or cameras may want to check out alternatives. We should still wait for official details before making a buying decision.
