OPPO A7 Pro Max launched in China as OPPO’s first 10,000mAh phone, may come to India as F35 Pro
Smartphone brands have been steadily increasing battery capacities over the past year, with 7,000mAh becoming the bare minimum in the flagship segment, with lower tiers going even further. After Honor, Realme and Vivo launched phones with 10,000mAh batteries, OPPO is now joining the list. The company has launched the OPPO A7 Pro Max in China with a 10,000mAh battery, making it the brand’s first smartphone to cross the five-digit mark. The phone also debuts Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset, positioning it as a mid-range device focused on endurance.
We recently reported that this device could eventually arrive in India as the OPPO F35 Pro around the end of this month, although the company hasn’t officially confirmed those plans.
OPPO A7 Pro Max specifications and features
The OPPO A7 Pro Max is the first smartphone to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 processor, built on TSMC’s 4nm process. It combines two Cortex-A78 performance cores clocked at up to 2.4GHz with six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores, alongside an Adreno G629 GPU. The phone is paired with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

It sports a 6.78-inch flexible AMOLED display with a 2772 x 1272 resolution, a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 10-bit colour support, and up to 1,800 nits peak brightness. OPPO has also included a 330Hz touch sampling rate for select gaming scenarios. For photography, the phone gets a 50MP front camera and a rear setup consisting of a 50MP primary sensor with OIS and a 2MP monochrome camera. Both front and rear cameras support video recording at up to 1080p.
The standout feature is the new 10,000mAh Glacier Battery, which uses silicon-carbon battery technology. It supports 80W SuperVOOC fast charging, 80W UFCS charging, and 27W reverse charging. Other highlights include an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers with up to 300 percent volume, NFC, an IR blaster, Wi-Fi 5, IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, AI Outdoor Mode 2.0, and Android 16-based ColorOS 16.
Price and India availability
The OPPO A7 Pro Max is available in Wave Rider, Orange Glow, and Mountain Black colours. It is priced at CNY 2,199 (around Rs 30,900) for the 8GB + 128GB variant, CNY 2,699 (around Rs 38,000) for the 12GB + 256GB model, and CNY 2,999 (around Rs 42,200) for the 12GB + 512GB version. The phone is already on sale in China.
While OPPO has not announced an India launch, our sources suggest the device could be rebranded as the OPPO F35 Pro for the Indian market and be priced between Rs 40,000 to Rs 45,000. If that happens, it could appeal to buyers who prioritise long battery life and fast charging over camera versatility. The combination of a large battery and fast charging could help the phone stand out but buyers looking for ultrawide cameras or 4K video recording may find better alternatives in some competing models.
