OPPO appears to be gearing up to expand its audio portfolio in India with the launch of the OPPO Enco Air 5 true wireless earbuds. The company has teased the upcoming wearable through an Amazon microsite, confirming that the earbuds will be available via the e-commerce platform after launch.
While OPPO has not announced a launch date yet, the “Coming Soon” tag on the listing suggests the debut could take place in the coming weeks. The teaser arrives shortly after the company launched the OPPO Enco Air 5 Pro in India, indicating that the company is looking to build out the lineup across price segments.
OPPO Enco Air 5 design revealed
The Amazon microsite offers an early look at the earbuds’ design. The Enco Air 5 appears to feature an in-ear form factor with silicone ear tips and stem-style controls. The earbuds sit inside a rounded charging case that includes an LED indicator on the front, likely for charging, battery, and pairing status.
OPPO hasn’t revealed any hardware specifications, colour options, or pricing details for the standard Enco Air 5. The teaser calls the product “True Wireless Noise Cancelling Earbuds,” suggesting active noise cancellation could be one of its headline features. OPPO has yet to outline the distinctions between the standard Enco Air 5 and Enco Air 5 Pro.
For context, the Enco Air 5 Pro launched in India in May at Rs 4,999 with a fairly competitive feature set. It includes 12.4 mm dynamic drivers, up to 55dB active noise cancellation, Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, LHDC 5.0 audio codec support, dual-device pairing, and AI-powered translation features. OPPO also claims up to 54 hours of total battery life with the charging case. With the standard model, we can expect a slightly watered-down spec sheet and a lower asking price.
For users, the Enco Air 5 could be worth watching if OPPO manages to bring key features from the Pro model at a lower price point. However, buyers may want to wait for the full specifications and pricing before deciding, given the intense competition in this category.
