OPPO Find X10 series leak reveals display sizes and memory details

Highlights
  • OPPO Find X10 and X10 Pro are tipped to rock a 1.5k resolution display.
  • The Find X10 display is said to be 6.59 inches tall, whereas the Find X10 Pro could sport a 6.78-inch display.
  • The Find X10 Ultra display has not been finalised yet.

While OPPO is preparing to launch the Find N6 in its home market, the company also appears to be quietly working on the next-generation Find X10 series. Key specifications of the upcoming flagship models have already begun circulating online, with the latest leak revealing their display sizes and, inadvertently, the memory type.

The OPPO Find X10 will ship with a 6.59-inch display bearing 1.5K resolution, claims popular tipster Digital Chat Station on Chinese microblogging website Weibo. It is also confirmed that the Find X10 Pro will sport a 6.78-inch 1.5K display, while the display size of the ‘Ultra’ mode, which could also be dubbed as ‘Find X10 Pro Max’, is under wraps at the moment.

These displays are expected to be AMOLED panels with dynamic refresh rate support, offering a balance of power efficiency and fluid animations while scrolling. Interestingly, the display sizes and resolutions appear to be identical to those used in the OPPO Find X9 and OPPO Find X9 Pro. We were truly impressed by their quality and legibility both indoors and outdoors. It will be interesting to see what difference OPPO will bring to the Find X10 series viewing experience.

Meanwhile, the OPPO Find X10 series could arrive with the same LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage as its predecessor. According to the tipster, upgrading to the newer LPDDR6 RAM and UFS 5.0 storage may prove challenging, as the combination reportedly costs “about the same as a chipset.” For context, the chipset is already one of the most expensive components in a smartphone, and if the memory and storage configuration carries a similar price, it could significantly increase the cost of the final product.

To offset this, OPPO may stick with MediaTek’s latest flagship chipset across the lineup. The Find X10, X10 Pro, and X10 Ultra are tipped to be powered by the rumoured Dimensity 9600 SoC, which is expected to be built on a 2nm process and deliver improved performance over the current flagship Dimensity 9500. This contradicts an earlier leak that suggested the vanilla Find X10 would instead feature the MediaTek Dimensity 9500+ chipset.

Separately, it is reported that the OPPO Find X10 Pro could feature a 200MP primary sensor with a 1/1.3-inch size, alongside a 200MP periscope telephoto camera using a similarly sized 1/1.3-inch sensor. If accurate, this would make the smartphone’s camera system significantly more capable than that of its predecessor, the Find X9 Pro, which offers a 50MP primary camera and a 200MP telephoto sensor in a smaller 1/1.56-inch format.

These are still very early leaks about the OPPO Find X10 series, which is not expected to launch until later this year. As such, the information should be taken with a grain of salt. If you are not in a hurry to buy a flagship, the upcoming models could be worth waiting for. Otherwise, the current OPPO Find X9 series remains a solid option, especially among camera enthusiasts, and is among the best-performing smartphones in its segment right now.
