The OPPO Find X9 series is confirmed to debut in China on October 16th. The flagship lineup will include two phones: OPPO Find X9 and Find X9 Pro. Ahead of the launch, OPPO has been teasing the devices, revealing key details like their design, chipset, and colours. OPPO has now revealed that the Find X9 Pro will come with a professional camera kit, similar to the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. Based on a Weibo post from the official OPPO account, this camera kit appears to be exclusive only to the Pro model.
OPPO is continuing its collaboration with Hasselblad for the Find X9 series, unlike OnePlus, which has finally ditched the branding after five years. The camera kit is also powered by Hasselblad, which adds to the overall appeal. OPPO is adding a total of five accessories in the camera kit for the Find X9 Pro.
The camera kit looks pretty cool, judging from the official images shared by OPPO. The Hasselblad Professional Teleconverter is a lens extender that you can mount to the camera of the phone. It’s designed to increase the effective focal length of lenses, enabling you to get distant shots with original camera quality. For the Find X9 Pro, you get the lens extender along with a attacher to mount it on the back of the phone. OPPO claims the lens extender will increase zoom capabilities by 3.28, which would upgrade the phone’s 70mm telephoto lens to 230mm focal length.
OPPO is also shipping a magnetic grip so you can hold the phone properly like a professional camera. This is paired with a magnetic protective case, and a professional phone strap to complete your entire look. The OPPO Hasselblad Professional Magnetic Flash Ring Light actually seems to be the most interesting one personally. It’s basically an LED ring light that you can just snap on the back of the phone. This accessory should help content creators as the ring light makes for a handy and important factor when taking videos or photos.
The overall result makes the OPPO Find X9 Pro look like a professional camera and not a regular phone. Whether these accessories help in elevating the phone’s camera performance or not is something that we’ll get to know through reviews. We’re also yet to see if they would actually be worth the money in terms of usability, and in comparison to other camera accessories available in the market.
Just the phone alone is also expected to offer improved camera performance. The OPPO Find X9 Pro is confirmed to feature a 200MP periscope camera, and a 50MP LYT-828 main camera. The smartphone will come with support for 4K live photos, 8K photos, and 4K 120fps Dolby Vision video. It’s still a triple-camera setup like the OPPO Find X8 Pro but with more powerful sensors.
In our review of the Find X8 Pro’s camera, we found that the handset’s cameras lean toward warm tones with a subtle vignette, producing detailed, natural-looking images without over-smoothing. Dynamic range and contrast are well-balanced, and low-light shots retain excellent depth and brightness. Portraits look crisp in all lighting, and even 10x zoom photos appear sharp. While the warmer tones add a dramatic touch, AI-backed tools let users fine-tune and enhance images easily. The Find X8 Pro was already impressive with its camera system, and its successor is expected to build on that with an improved performance.
With the Find X9 Pro, OPPO is clearly doubling down on its imaging ambitions, using the Hasselblad collaboration and professional camera kit to position itself as a serious player in mobile photography. For creators, this could be one of the most versatile camera setups on a phone yet, provided the accessories are priced reasonably and widely available. If OPPO brings this kit to India, it won’t just challenge Xiaomi and Vivo in imaging; it could redefine how photography enthusiasts perceive flagship smartphones.
