OPPO has officially confirmed that the Find X9 Ultra and Find X9s will launch in India in May 2026, expanding its flagship Find X9 series lineup in the country. The move comes months after the debut of the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro in November, and signals OPPO’s intent to cover a wider flagship spectrum, from ultra-premium imaging-focused devices to more accessible performance flagships.
With this, the Find X9 series in India will now include four models: Find X9s, Find X9, Find X9 Pro, and Find X9 Ultra, giving buyers more flexibility over different price segments. Pricing and exact availability details will be revealed closer to launch, but OPPO will continue positioning the Ultra as its no-compromise flagship, while the X9s may act as a slightly toned-down alternative to the Find X9.
Find X9 Ultra: OPPO’s ultimate camera flagship heads to India
The Find X9 Ultra, which just debuted in China, is OPPO’s most ambitious camera phone yet and will sit at the very top of its India portfolio. It features a large 6.82-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,800 nits peak brightness. Powering the device is the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB UFS 4.1 storage.
The biggest highlight, however, is its quad-camera system. The phone packs a 200MP primary sensor alongside a 50MP ultra-wide, a 200MP telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultra-telephoto shooter with up to 10x optical zoom and 120x digital zoom. OPPO is also continuing its partnership with Hasselblad for colour tuning, alongside features like XPAN mode and advanced video tools. On the video side, it supports 8K recording and 4K at 120fps with Dolby Vision.
Backing all this is a large 7,050mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. The smartphone runs ColorOS 16 based on Android 16 out of the box. The OPPO Find X9 Ultra will compete directly with ultra-premium camera flagships like the Xiaomi 17 Ultra and the upcoming Vivo X300 Ultra.
In terms of pricing context, the phone starts at CNY 7,499 (roughly Rs. 1.03 lakh) in China, which is expected to be much higher in India. The Find X9 Ultra is built for users who want the absolute best camera hardware, even if that means paying a premium and carrying a larger device. It is likely to appeal to photography enthusiasts, content creators, and those comparing options in the ultra-flagship space.
OPPO Find X9s: what to expect
Alongside the Ultra, OPPO will also introduce the Find X9s, which appears to be a slightly toned-down and possibly more affordable alternative to the Find X9s Pro available in China. The device is confirmed to feature a flat display with ultra-thin 1.15mm bezels and is expected to sport a roughly 6.5-inch panel, making it more practical for everyday use compared to the larger Ultra.
Under the hood, it will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset, targeting strong flagship-level performance. One of its standout features is the large 7,025mAh battery, which could give it a significant endurance advantage over similarly positioned devices.
On the camera front, OPPO has teased a 50MP triple-camera setup, likely comprising a primary, ultra-wide, and telephoto lens. While it may not match the Ultra’s extreme zoom capabilities, the presence of a telephoto sensor suggests a more versatile setup than rivals in this segment.
The Find X9s looks positioned as a more balanced flagship, offering strong performance, a large battery, and a versatile camera system at a more accessible price. It could appeal to users who want flagship-grade performance and endurance but don’t necessarily need a 200MP quad-camera setup.
