In the latest round of industry-wide price rises, OPPO has increased the prices of several smartphones in India by up to Rs 2,000 in this round, pushing some of its budget and mid-range models into more expensive segments. The revised prices affect the K14x, K14, A6c, A6 and A6 Pro, with increases ranging from Rs 1,000 to as high as Rs 11,000 depending on the variant and model.
The difference is particularly noticeable for the OPPO A6 and A6 Pro, which now sit in significantly higher price brackets despite retaining the same core hardware.
The OPPO K14x 5G now starts at Rs 17,999 for 4GB + 64GB, up from Rs 16,999. Its 4GB + 128GB variant rises from Rs 18,999 to Rs 19,999, while the 6GB + 128GB model gets the biggest increase, moving from Rs 20,999 to Rs 22,999.

This seems like a rhetorical question considering how high the prices are now compared to the launch ones, and the value proposition has taken a deep hit. However, for ColorOS fans, the K14x remains relevant who prioritise battery life, thanks to its 6,500mAh battery and dependable everyday performance. However, its HD+ LCD display, mono speaker and average camera performance become harder to overlook at Rs 17,999 and above.
The same applies to the A6 and A6 Pro. Their large 7,000mAh batteries remain useful, but the higher prices put them against phones offering sharper displays, faster processors or stronger camera hardware.
The 4GB + 64GB K14x at Rs 17,999 is particularly difficult to overlook as a pricing shift. The configuration would have been a budget option earlier, but now sits close to phones with more RAM and storage. Same is the case for the OPPO A6c, which is a 4G option at over Rs 15,000. Buyers should therefore compare alternatives before purchasing. For existing OPPO fans, the revised models can still make sense if battery life, brand preference and availability are priorities. For everyone else, defer any sort of purchases unless absolutely necessary and buy phones for longevity.
