OPPO has increased the price of its recently launched K14x smartphone in India, making the device Rs 1,000 more expensive across all storage configurations. The revised pricing takes immediate effect and reflects the broader trend of smartphone price increases seen across the industry in 2026.

OPPO K14x: what’s on offer
The OPPO K14x was positioned as a battery-focused budget 5G smartphone. It houses a large 6,500mAh battery, which comfortably delivers all-day endurance and can stretch well into a second day for moderate users. The device also offers dependable everyday performance for social media, web browsing, video streaming, and casual gaming. Popular titles such as BGMI and Call of Duty: Mobile run smoothly, while thermal management remains respectable during extended sessions.

However, the phone’s compromises become more apparent at its new pricing. The HD+ LCD screen lacks the sharpness offered by FHD+ panels available on competing devices in the same segment. Content consumption is further limited by the inclusion of a single mono speaker, while camera performance remains average, particularly for selfies and low-light photography.
Another concern is software longevity. Despite launching in March 2026, the K14x ships with Android 15, raising questions about long-term software support compared to rivals that offer more aggressive update commitments.

The revised pricing puts the OPPO K14x in direct competition with several older but more balanced smartphones powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 chipset, such as the Lava Play Ultra, which offers stronger overall value through faster performance, sharper displays, and more capable camera systems.
The OPPO K14x remains a sensible choice for users who prioritise battery life above everything else and want a reliable phone for everyday use. However, at its revised price, buyers looking for a more complete package may find better value in competing devices that offer stronger performance, sharper displays, and better cameras for similar money.
