Following its debut in China last month, the OPPO Reno 16 series is now steadily making its way to international markets. Notably, we had recently reported that the OPPO Reno 16 lineup will launch in India this July, and a fresh Geekbench listing now offers an early look at what buyers can expect from the global variant. We also had detailed specifications and design details of the Reno 16 lineup for the global market, and the latest Geekbench listing further confirms key specifications, such as the chipset.
OPPO Reno 16 global variant Geekbench
The global version of the OPPO Reno 16, bearing the model number CPH2865, has surfaced on Geekbench after previously appearing on certification platforms in Thailand and the UAE. The benchmark listing confirms that the device will differ significantly from its Chinese counterpart in one key area: the chipset.

While the China-exclusive Reno 16 is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500 Super processor, the global model appears to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. Although Geekbench does not directly reveal the chipset name, the SM7750 model number, CPU configuration, and GPU details associated with the listing point to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 platform. This is an upper mid-range chipset designed to deliver flagship-level performance in this segment.
The benchmarked device is equipped with 12GB of RAM and runs Android 16. It achieved scores of 1,240 points in Geekbench’s single-core test and 3,994 points in the multi-core benchmark, indicating solid upper mid-range performance.
The chipset switch is particularly interesting because it follows the same approach OPPO adopted with the Reno 15 series. The global Reno 15 also arrived with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, suggesting the company may prefer Qualcomm’s platform for international markets.
The global version of the Reno 16 is also expected to feature a 6.32-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device could pack a 6,000mAh battery with 80W charging support. The Reno 16 is also tipped to feature a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP telephoto shooter with 3.5x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide sensor. A 50MP selfie camera is also expected. With these specs, the Reno 16 would stand out as a powerful compact phone offering versatile cameras and a vibrant display.
Based on what has been revealed so far, the OPPO Reno 16 makes sense for people who want a compact phone that offers capable performance, versatile cameras, and a sizeable battery. However, since the Reno 15 series is still fresh on the market, it would make sense to compare properly before making a buying decision. So it’s better to wait for official details instead of buying it immediately at launch.
