OPPO Reno 16 Pro, Reno 16 and Reno 16F global launch officially confirmed
OPPO has officially kicked off the global launch of the Reno 16 series after launching it in China last month. The Reno 16 lineup is scheduled to launch in Indonesia on July 3rd and in Malaysia on July 8th. Details about the Reno 16 series are available on dedicated microsites of OPPO’s Malaysia and Indonesia websites. The upcoming phones are also teased with K-Pop group Baby Monster. OPPO is tipped to launch the Reno 16 lineup in India as well, with the Reno 15F rebranded as Reno 16c here.

OPPO Reno 16 series global launch details
According to official teasers shared by OPPO, the lineup will include three phones: Reno 16, Reno 16 Pro, and Reno 16F. All three phones are releasing in Malaysia and Indonesia, with pre-orders already live in both markets. The Reno 16 will be available in 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB variants and in Pop White and Twilight Violet colours. The Reno 16 Pro comes in a single 12GB + 512GB variant with two colour options of Pop White and Starlight Black.
The Reno 16F will launch as the most affordable one in the lineup, and in two variants: 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. This handset will have peppy colour options, including Dream Purple, Pop White, and Twilight Violet.

OPPO is also offering special Baby Monster gifts with the purchase of the Reno 16 series in these markets. In addition to the phones, OPPO is also launching the Bubble accessory, which is a small display that can be attached to the back of the Reno 16 series. The OPPO Enco Air 5 and Air 5s will be launched as well.
OPPO Reno 16 series: what to expect
The Reno 16 Pro and Reno 16 are tipped to feature a compact 6.32-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with up to 144Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 7i protection. The 144Hz refresh rate means smoother scrolling and gaming for avid mobile gamers. The Pro model could get MediaTek Dimensity 8550, while the vanilla model gets the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC. Battery capacities could be different, too, as the Reno 16 Pro is tipped to house a 6,700mAh battery, while the Reno 16 carries a 6,000mAh battery. While the battery capacities should be enough for regular usage, there are rivals offering larger capacities, even beyond 7,000mAh.
Both phones could also feature a 200MP primary camera and a 3.5x telephoto lens. This camera setup would give the Reno 16 series an edge over rivals, especially with the telephoto lens. With these specs, the Reno 16 series would possibly compete with the Vivo S60 series.
The Reno 16F, on the other hand, is expected to feature a bigger 6.57-inch display, the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, and a 50MP 3.5x telephoto lens. It’s tipped to house a 6,500mAh battery with 45W SuperVOOC charging support.
Based on these leaked details, the Reno 16 Pro will be the premium option targeting users seeking a flagship-style photography experience in a compact form factor, while the Reno 16 looks positioned as a balanced all-rounder with premium cameras and a more mainstream chipset. The Reno 16 FS would be the affordable alternative, offering a reliable battery life and telephoto photography at a more accessible price point.
