POCO could soon add a new budget smartphone to its growing C-series lineup. An unannounced POCO handset has now appeared on Singapore’s IMDA certification platform, hinting that its global debut may not be far away. This is speculated to be the POCO C95 Pro 4G, which could be a rebrand of the upcoming Redmi 17 4G.
POCO C95 Pro 4G: what to expect
The certification listing reveals the model number 2606FPC72Y and confirms support for key connectivity features, including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and NFC. While the device’s official marketing name remains a mystery, earlier entries in the GSMA database suggest it could launch as the POCO C95 Pro 4G.
If that proves true, the POCO C95 Pro 4G could be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 2 chipset. The processor is designed for affordable smartphones and is expected to deliver a balanced experience for everyday tasks, including social media, web browsing, video streaming, and casual gaming. While the Snapdragon 6s Gen 2 sounds promising for the budget segment, we’ll still have to see how the phone performs in real-world use. The smartphone could also launch in multiple configurations up to 8GB RAM and 512GB storage.
Rebranding Redmi devices under the POCO banner is a strategy Xiaomi has employed several times in the past, often allowing POCO to bring familiar hardware to different markets with a tweaked design or software experience. As a result, prospective buyers can look at future Redmi 17 4G leaks to get an early idea of what the POCO C95 Pro 4G may offer.
The upcoming POCO C95 Pro 4G could emerge as an attractive option if priced aggressively. However, with specifications still under wraps, those seeking stronger performance or advanced camera hardware may want to wait for the official announcement before making a decision. Since it’s a 4G smartphone, the POCO C95 Pro could appeal more to first-time smartphone users or those who need a basic smartphone for everyday tasks and communication.
