POCO M8 and M8 Pro specifications, renders surface online ahead of official launch
POCO M8 and POCO M8 Pro are set to be the next lineup of smartphones from the brand. This is based on details of both the phones revealed through certification listings. Now, almost everything about the POCO M8 series, including their specifications and design renders, has been leaked by WinFuture.de. This strongly indicates that the POCO M8 series launch could be inching closer.
According to the report, the POCO M8 Pro will feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED display (2772 x 1080 pixels) with a 120Hz refresh rate and an IP68 rating. The POCO M8 will get a slightly smaller 6.77-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an IP65 rating. Powering the POCO M8 Pro is the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, and the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 on the M8. You’ll get a 6,500mAh battery with 100W fast charging on the Pro model, and a 5,520mAh battery on the M8.

POCO’s M-series is a budget lineup, so the specifications are in accordance with the price segment. For context, the POCO M7 is priced at Rs 10,500, while the M7 Pro was launched at Rs 14,999. However, the POCO M8 series might be priced higher this time, as the WinFuture.de report suggests that these phones are based on the Redmi Note 15 series. The specifications and design are indeed similar to the Redmi Note 15 and 15 Pro, which launched in Poland, recently. The Redmi Note 15 108 MasterPixel Edition is also scheduled to launch in India on January 6th.
It’s not new for POCO to launch rebranded Redmi phones with certain changes in design and specifications. So the final result could differ, even for the global and Indian variants.
POCO has not yet teased or officially announced the M8 series. However, early reports suggest the lineup could offer up to 8GB of RAM with 256GB or 512GB of internal storage. If the POCO M8 series does launch in India with these specifications, pricing is likely to stay under Rs 30,000. That would place both phones firmly in the budget to mid-range segment, where competition is already intense. Several rivals in this space offer large batteries of up to 7,000mAh, premium-looking designs, and capable camera setups.
POCO has traditionally focused on delivering strong value for money, and the current M7 series has been well received on that front. For now, anyone interested in the POCO M8 series should wait for official announcements or more reliable information before making a purchase decision.
