Both PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition support storage expansion using compatible PS5 SSDs. The only difference between PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition is that PS5 comes with a Blu-Ray disc drive, while PS5 Digital Edition doesn't. Since PS5 is backward compatible, many PS4 games can be played on PS5.
