Realme has officially launched the Realme 15 Pro and Realme 15 in India, adding to its popular numeric series of smartphones. These mid-range devices focus on delivering enhanced camera capabilities, large batteries, and a slim design for buyers seeking an all-around smartphone. Both smartphones boast identical specifications, but they differ in processing power, with the Realme 15 Pro featuring a more powerful chipset.
The Realme 15 Pro’s performance is handled by the all-new Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC. This latest mid-range chipset boasts an AnTuTu score of over 10 lakhs and offers faster CPU, GPU, and AI performance compared to its predecessor, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. The chipset is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage onboard, which isn’t user-expandable, so calculate your needs before investing in the smartphone.
The Realme 15 Pro is equipped with an extensive 7,000 mm² vapour chamber cooling system and a performance-boosting GT mode for power users. On paper, this setup looks well-equipped to handle everyday tasks, gaming, and AI-intensive operations, but we’ll reserve final judgment for our full review.
The Realme 15, on the other hand, is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Plus, a variant of the standard Dimensity 7300 SoC originally introduced on the CMF Phone 1 in the sub-Rs 20,000 segment. It is a capable chipset that should provide a reliable performance for everyday usage and casual gaming.
Slim design despite a 7,000mAh battery
Moving on, Realme has also refreshed the design by replacing the circular camera module with a more conventional rectangular design. While it doesn’t make the Realme 15 and 15 Pro particularly striking, the new layout lends the devices a cleaner, more refined profile. Moreover, the company has added an LED light next to the small camera ring on the smartphone, which lights up for notifications.
A highlight of both the Realme 15 and Realme 15 Pro is their remarkably slim and lightweight build. The Realme 15 series weighs just 187 grams and measures only 7.66mm in thickness. This makes the latest Realme phones the slimmest smartphones with a massive 7,000mAh battery. Realme has opted for a graphite-based lithium-ion battery, which offers better thermal stability and a longer lifespan compared to newer silicon-carbon alternatives.
The smartphones are rated to deliver all-day battery life, often ending the day with around 50 per cent charge remaining. And when it’s time to recharge, the included 80W charger can power the devices from 0 to 100 per cent in just 61 minutes.
The Realme 15 Pro comes in three colour options: Silk Purple, Velvet Green, and Flowing Silver, whereas the 15 swaps the Silk Purple for Silk Pink. Each variant resembles a couture fabric swatch, according to Realme, offering a smooth, matte-like finish and keeping fingerprints and smudges at bay. Smartphones are durable, featuring an IP69 water and dust-resistant rating, as well as Corning Gorilla Glass protection for the displays.
Capable cameras, but less versatile
The Realme 15 Pro features a triple-camera setup comprising a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and an unspecified tertiary sensor. The regular Realme 15 lacks the third sensor. The higher-resolution ultrawide sensor should make the smartphones better at capturing landscape shots, something that the Realme 14 Pro+ (review) struggled with due to its 8MP ultrawide sensor.
However, the missing telephoto lens could be a missed opportunity, considering rivals such as the Motorola Edge 60 Pro (review) have one. Even the Realme 14 Pro+ had a telephoto lens. Notably, with Realme stepping back from launching a Plus model, the numeric series will, for the first time since the Realme 12 Pro+ debut in 2023, lack a smartphone equipped with a telephoto lens.
For selfies and video calls, the Realme 15 and 15 Pro feature a 50MP front-facing camera, an impressive upgrade from the 8MP sensor of the previous iterations. Additionally, the smartphone supports 4K video recording at 60fps from its cameras, which should appeal to content creators looking for high-quality footage.
Curved display for premium-ness
Regarding the display, the Realme 15 and 15 Pro both feature a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen with an FHD+ resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 6,500 nits. These specs represent a notable upgrade over the Realme 14 Pro, offering improved outdoor visibility in direct sunlight and smoother animations. Realme is marketing the 15 Pro’s display as 4D Curve+ due to its subtle curves along the top, bottom, and sides, designed to deliver a more immersive and engaging visual experience.
Familiar software
On the software front, the Realme 15 series ships with Android 15 and Realme UI 6.0 pre-installed, right out of the box. As they share the same software experience as the previous numeric-series lineup and other Realme smartphones launched this year, users can expect a familiar and consistent interface. The handsets are confirmed to receive two major Android updates, including Android 16, along with three years of security patches. This falls short compared to some competitors that now offer up to four years of major OS updates.
The ‘AI’ in AI Party Phone
Both Realme 15 and 15 Pro are being marketed as the “AI Party Phone”, designed to capture brighter and clearer portraits in low light. The handsets also feature fun enhancements, including dynamic lighting effects and vibrant watermarked frames, to further enhance photos.
Additionally, the smartphones feature AI Edit Genie, which can completely transform images using voice commands (a first-of-its-kind feature) or text prompts. The feature supports over 20 languages, including Hindi, and enables users to virtually change outfits, adjust skin tones, add objects, and even grow facial hair. That said, Realme has drawn a line on what the AI Edit Genie can and cannot do, ensuring responsible use of the AI feature.
Apart from this, the Realme 15 and the Realme 15 Pro feature AI Landscape to adjust the horizontal alignment of photos, AI Glare Remover, and AI Snap Mode. The features work as advertised during our initial impression. However, we’ll be putting them through more rigorous testing in our full review, so stay tuned for that.
Feature-rich phones at mid-range prices
The Realme 15 Pro has been priced in India starting at Rs 31,999. The phone is available in four RAM and storage configurations:
| Realme 15 Pro variants | Price |
| 8GB + 128GB | Rs 31,999 |
| 8GB + 256GB | Rs 33,999 |
| 12GB + 256GB | Rs 35,999 |
| 12GB + 512GB | Rs 38,999 |
The Realme 15, on the other hand, is slightly more affordable, selling in India at Rs 25,999 for its base variant.
| Realme 15 variants | Price |
| 8GB + 128GB | Rs 25,999 |
| 8GB + 256GB | Rs 27,999 |
| 12GB + 256GB | Rs 30,999 |
The Realme 15 and Realme 15 Pro will go on sale starting July 30th at 12:00 PM IST, available via Flipkart, Realme’s official website, and select offline retail partners. Launch offers include a flat Rs 2,000 discount on the Realme 15 and Rs 3,000 off on the Realme 15 Pro through bank offers. Additionally, customers opting for EMI purchases can avail discounts of up to Rs 6,000.
The Realme 15 series continues the brand’s push to deliver slim, stylish phones with massive batteries, now layered with AI features that Realme is betting big on. The “AI Party Phone” positioning is a clever attempt to attract younger buyers who want fun camera tricks and social-media-ready edits, but it also highlights the brand’s shift toward using AI as a differentiator in the crowded mid-range market.
From a buying perspective, the Realme 15 Pro is clearly the more future-proof choice with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, higher storage ceiling, and triple-camera setup, though it skips a telephoto lens, which is a step back from past Realme “Plus” models. The regular Realme 15, while more affordable, will appeal to casual users who still want strong battery life and AI camera tools without stretching their budget.
That said, competition is heating up: Motorola’s Edge 60 Pro and even some Samsung Galaxy A-series rivals offer longer software support and more versatile cameras. Realme is banking on slimmer design, faster charging, and fun AI features to stand out. If these align with your priorities, the Realme 15 Pro looks like the safer pick, while the standard Realme 15 keeps things accessible.
