Realme P4 Power teased ahead of India launch, said to come with a “mAAAAhssive” battery
Realme has begun teasing the launch of the Realme P4 Power 5G in India, and the teasers make it clear that the USP of the phone is its battery life. Realme is targeting users tired of carrying chargers or power banks and want a phone that lasts comfortably through a long day, and more.
The company has not confirmed the battery capacity yet, but teasers posted by Francis Wong, who’s the Head of Product Marketing at Realme, describe it as “mAAAAAhsive” battery and claim up to 1.5 days of usage on a single charge. There have been rumours that the phone (or another Realme phone) could come with a 10,000mAh battery but the teasers haven’t confirmed that yet.

Realme also draws a comparison with rival phones, suggesting that many devices in this segment need to be charged twice to deliver similar usage. With 5G phones becoming more common and power-hungry, battery life has become one of the most important buying factors in the mid-range, especially for people who stream, game, or use navigation frequently.
One of the more practical features being highlighted is 27W reverse charging. Most phones in the sub-Rs 25,000 price range that the P-series operates, either do not support reverse charging or offer it at basic 5W or 10W speeds. At 27W, the P4 Power 5G could realistically be used to charge wireless earbuds, smartwatches, or even another phone when required. Realme is also promoting Bypass Charging, which lets the phone run directly on wall power during heavy usage like gaming. This helps keep heat under control and reduces stress on the battery during long sessions.
Despite focusing on a large battery, Realme says the phone remains “pocket friendly”. The listed weight is 218 gms, which is on the heavier side compared to regular smartphones, but typical for devices that prioritise battery capacity.
On the display and performance front, Realme claims the phone will stick to its maximum refresh rate instead of dropping to 60Hz to save power, something many phones do in daily use. The company also says the phone delivers stable frame rates and stays cool even when the battery level drops to around 10 percent. These claims suggest the focus is on consistent performance rather than short bursts of speed.
One claim that stands out is the promise of “8 Years of longevity”. Realme has not explained what this actually means but it could relate to battery health, durability, or overall lifespan. Buyers will need clearer details before taking this claim at face value.
The Realme P4 Power 5G will be sold as a Flipkart Unique product in India, continuing the brand’s P-series approach. The launch is expected later this month. For buyers who care most about battery life, practical charging features, and steady performance, this phone may be worth waiting for.
