Realme is set to launch the Realme P4R in India tomorrow, June 10th, and ahead of the official unveiling, the company has confirmed several key specifications. The upcoming smartphone appears to be targeting users who prioritise battery life, durability, and dependable performance in the mid-range segment. The highlight of this phone is its massive 8,000mAh battery, claimed to last for three days. The handset will come with 45W fast charging and reverse charging support as well.
Through its Flipkart microsite, Realme has revealed more specs of the Realme P4R.
Powering the phone is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, paired with up to 14GB of Dynamic RAM and 256GB of storage. While the processor is positioned in the budget and lower mid-range segment, the large memory configuration should help with multitasking and everyday usage. It’s confirmed to feature a flat display with 1,200 nits peak brightness and 144Hz refresh rate. While most smartphones in this category offer 90Hz or 120Hz displays, the higher refresh rate could provide smoother scrolling and gaming experiences.
Additional features include a 5,300mm² AirFlo VC cooling system, Military Grade durability certification, IP65-rated dust and water resistance, an AI Pulse Light LED indicator on the back, and Realme UI 7.0. Despite the large battery, the phone measures just 8.8mm in thickness. In the mid-range segment, the Realme P4R is expected to compete with the OnePlus Nord CE6, which also has an 8,000mAh battery.
For photography, the smartphone will feature a 50MP AI-powered rear camera and support Motion Photo on both the front and rear cameras. Realme is also bringing a suite of AI tools, including AI Eraser 2.0, AI Ultra Clarity, AI Unblur, and AI Portrait Glow, aimed at improving image quality and simplifying photo editing.
Based on the confirmed specifications, the Realme P4R appears to be a good choice for buyers who value long battery life above all else. The Realme P4R could emerge as one of the most compelling options in its class. However, pricing will ultimately determine how competitive it is when it launches tomorrow. If priced under Rs 30,000, this could be a strong contender for battery-focused users. If you currently own an older budget or mid-range phone and prioritise battery life, this might be a worthwhile upgrade.
We should also see how the phone compares to rivals and if the overall package makes the purchase worth it.
