Set to launch on September 3rd, the smartphone is expected to place heavy emphasis on battery life, a striking design, and a Snapdragon processor that is making its way into the country for the first time.

The Redmi 17 is confirmed to launch in India on September 3rd. Just like the Redmi Note 17, the Redmi 17 could be available on Amazon, Xiaomi’s online store, and retail outlets after its release.

Per the teasers, it appears the smartphone will arrive in three colours: Eternal Orange, Endless Blue, and Absolute Black. The global variant starts with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and goes up to 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 speeds on board. On to the optics, the Redmi 17 5G is confirmed to get a 50MP dual-AI camera on the rear, while the front will house an 8MP selfie shooter. Just like the Redmi Note 17, the Redmi 17 is likely to boot into Android 16-based HyperOS 3 and should receive a long software commitment, making it ideal for users seeking to use the phone for the long term.
