Xiaomi has seemingly launched its flagship Note series smartphone, Redmi Note 15 Pro+, globally. This comes months after the handset was unveiled in China. While it couldn’t spot the official listing, reputable website GSMArena claims that the international variant is different from its Chinese counterpart. The primary camera has been upgraded to a 200MP lens instead of a 50MP, which should theoretically mean more details, and the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ globally can juice up at a maximum of 100W rather than 80W.
Instead, the handset will rely on its 200MP primary camera, which is identical in resolution to its predecessor, for portraits. The camera will be accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide lens, and that’s it. The third lens that you see in the squircle camera setup on the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ global variant renders is nothing but a dummy.
On the display front, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ sports a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 3,200 nits peak brightness, and other niceties found on its Chinese counterpart. However, the resolution is slightly different at 2,772 x 1,280 pixels as opposed to 2,772 x 1,220 pixels.
While the durability remains unchanged, with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, Xiaomi has swapped the Dragon Crystal Glass display protection for globally renowned Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. It is the same glass that was used on the Redmi Note 14 Pro+’s display.
The rest of the specifications remain identical:
Additionally, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ supports Xiaomi’s Offline Communication, which enables kilometre-level, device-to-device voice calls even without network coverage. The handset also integrates the Xiaomi Surge T1S tuner, designed to enhance signal stability and reception across Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and cellular networks.
The price and availability of the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ internationally haven’t been announced yet. To recall, the handset was introduced in China at a starting price of CNY 1,999, which translates to roughly Rs 25,600 in Indian currency.
Xiaomi has confirmed the Redmi Note 15 India launch for January 6th, 2026. However, the Note 15 Pro+ launch details remain under wraps at the moment in the country. Looking at the specifications, the handset seems to be an iterative upgrade to the Redmi Note 14 Pro+, which was launched earlier this year at a starting price of Rs 30,999. If and when Xiaomi plans to launch the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ in India, it will need a significantly more competitive price tag to make it a genuinely compelling option for 2026.
