This is our first clear look at the Samsung Galaxy Buds2.
Update (August 2025): The Samsung Galaxy Buds2 launched alongside the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Flip3 in August 2021. The final design matches these leaked renders. They feature a glossy finish, rubber ear tips, dual microphones per earbud, and a square charging case with a white exterior and colour-matched interior. Available in White, Graphite, Olive, and Lavender (slightly renamed from the leaked colour list), the Buds2 bring active noise reduction instead of full ANC, and offer up to 5 hours of playback (20 hours with the case). A few hours ago, we brought you official renders of the Samsung Galaxy Watch4 and now we’re back again to talk about the Samsung Galaxy Buds2. We at 91mobiles managed to get our hands on official Galaxy Buds2 renders through reliable industry sources. The images reveal the design and colour options of the upcoming truly wireless earbuds. This is our first clear look at the Samsung Galaxy Buds2, which could be unveiled on June 28th at MWC 2021 alongside the Galaxy Watch4. Previously, we spotted the Samsung TWS earbuds on the FCC certification website, which gave us some hardware information as well as live images. We hope to learn more from these renders.

Samsung Galaxy Buds2 will feature a clean and minimalistic design
Right off the bat, we notice that the Samsung Galaxy Buds2 will come with a slightly different design language compared to the original Galaxy Buds and the Buds+. Instead of a matt and glossy dual-tone finish, the Buds2 will offer a uniform texture, which is most likely glossy in nature. The surface of the body includes two microphones for improved noise reduction. Past reports tell us that the Galaxy Buds2 will not support active noise cancellation (ANC) like the Galaxy Buds Pro and Galaxy Buds Live, but they will feature active noise reduction.
The inside of the body sees the charging connectors and sensor for wear detection. The Galaxy Buds2 will feature rubber tips to offer passive noise cancellation. The charging case is now square-shaped and looks similar to the Galaxy Buds Live and Buds Pro cases.
Four colour options to choose from
The renders tell us that the Samsung Galaxy Buds2 will be available in White, Black, Purple, and Green colour option. The outside of the charging case will be White while the inside will match the colour of the Buds2. This is all we get from the official renders and it looks like the Galaxy Buds2 are ready to go official on June 28th, or perhaps in August alongside the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3.
Based on the FCC listing, the Samsung Galaxy Buds2 charging case will hold a 500mAh battery while each earbud will house a 60mAh battery. The case will support charging at 2.5W and the buds will charge at 0.6W, as per the FCC documents. In just a couple of days, we should know everything else about the Galaxy Buds2.
