Samsung could be taking inspiration from Apple for the new design of the Samsung Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus. Here's what we know about these 2024 flagships.
Tipster Ice Universe, who's been rather accurate when it comes to Samsung leaks, confirmed in a tweet that the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus will adopt completely flat sides, akin to iPhones. To recall, the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus also have flat sides but they bulge out slightly to provide a slightly curved frame on the sides.
This time, however, the frame will be similar to how iPhones have it since the iPhone 12 series. This also means that the front display would remain flat as Samsung has been moving away from curved screens. The tipster also indicated that the camera design could remain similar to Galaxy S23 and the device could look like Meizu 20 which launched in China.
Previous leaks have indicated that the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will come with a Titanium frame. This move comes after rumours of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max adopting this material for their devices. Compared to aluminium on the Galaxy S23 Ultra, the Titanium frame could help reduce the weight of the phone while being stronger.
Samsung is expected to offer the Samsung Galaxy S25 series in two processor options based on the region of sale. Some areas will receive the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 option while there will be in-house developed Exynos 2400 for others. The US variants of these devices were recently spotted on Geekbench too. New camera systems and displays are expected for all three devices in the series, with Galaxy S24 Plus screen size increasing to 6.65-inch.
