The Tata Harrier EV is expected to get a redesigned exterior and is also likely to get more features
Tata is known for delivering products which look very similar to their concept prototypes and this time around as well it seems to be true. The Tata Safari and Harrier facelifts, which have been spotted testing on public roads, get a new front fascia. The front-end design looks similar to the new Tata Harrier EV concept which includes new angular front air intakes with smaller LED lighting units, sleeker-looking LED DRLs, and a newly designed front air dam. The Tata Harrier EV is expected to inherit all these refreshed bits and also take up a blocked-out front grille. It still remains to be seen if the concept car's illuminated logo makes it to the production version.
While the teaser image gives us a glimpse of just the front end of the EV SUV, the Tata Harrier EV is expected to get a larger set of 19-inch alloy wheels with a new design. The rear end too will be reworked with reprofiled bumpers and a new pair of LED tail lights and reportedly an LED light bar.
The Tata Harrier EV will use Tata's Gen 2 platform, which will be an ICE platform modified to accommodate an electric powertrain. The vehicle is expected to get an AWD set-up and more power and range than the Tata Nexon EV. While the pricing is still unknown, it can be expected to be higher than the ICE-powered Tata Harrier.
