Top 10 Android phones on Antutu in April 2023

The top 10 Android phones list on the Antutu is an exciting battleground for the latest Android smartphones, showcasing interesting movements in trends across the Android ecosystem. Now updated for the month of April, the new list has seen yet another fresh batch of movements, although the shift in rankings this month is somewhat less drastic than in many other previous months.

ASUS, after a rather noticeable absence from the charts last month, is back in the fray by topping the chart with its latest generation ROG Phone. Strangely, however, the still-new flagship from Vivo has dropped out of the list entirely — not featuring at any point on this list. As with every month, there are minor score overhauls for all the smartphones on this list, although the overall ranks of the smartphones have remained consistent. On this note, here’s looking at the top 10 Android smartphones on Antutu, for the month of April 2023.

ASUS ROG Phone 7 Ultimate

Score: 1,333,011 points
Price in India: Rs 99,999

The ASUS ROG Phone 7 Ultimate has already been listed for launch in India, so if you consider yourself to be an avid gamer, you may want to keep your eyes on this. The price point appears to be fairly steep, but you get glitzy features such as a 2-inch OLED display to the back of the phone. This can be customised to show animations or prompts such as charging status or incoming calls.

Other key specs of the phone include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, along with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. It also has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 165Hz refresh rate and 1 billion colours rendered. There is a 50MP triple rear camera that can shoot up to 8K24 videos, and a 32MP front camera is present too. As with every ROG Phone, you get a motorised air cooler vent, and support for ASUS’ ROG Phone accessories ecosystem. The device also gets the latest generation Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3 for wireless connectivity, and is poweerd by a 6,000mAh battery with 65W wired fast charging.

Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro+

Score: 1,304,757 points
Price in India: NA

Red Magic 8 Pro+

Nubia’s Red Magic 8 Pro+ drops out from the top spot after leading the top 10 Android phones list for the Antutu benchmark browser for two months in a row. However, this takes nothing away from the smartphone, which is an absolute beast in terms of its overall performance. The smartphone features flat-edged sides, pressure triggers on shoulders for shooter games, and even a ventilating fan with RGB LED lighting to the rear.

The 5G phone was launched in December last year, and features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, Qualcomm’s latest flagship. Other key specs include 16GB RAM and 1TB storage, a 6.8-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 50MP triple rear camera with 8K video recording, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 for wireless connectivity, and a 5,000mAh battery with 165W fast charging that claims 100 percent power in 14 minutes.

Xiaomi 13 Pro

Score: 1,280,444 points
Price in India: Rs 79,999

Xiaomi 13 Pro

Since the top 10 Android phones list on the Antutu benchmark was last updated, Xiaomi has upgraded its already-premium flagship phone with a new variant. Called the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, the latter has improved the Xiaomi 13 Pro in numerous small ways. But, when it comes to the core performance, the Xiaomi 13 Pro continues to lead on this list, suggesting that performance wise, the Pro variant is at least as good as the Ultra.

Key specifications of the Xiaomi 13 Pro include a 6.73-inch 2K+ display with 120Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision certification, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, and up to 12GB RAM with 512GB storage. It has three 50MP rear cameras with Leica certification and capability of 10-bit LOG in videos, a 32MP front camera, and a 4,820mAh battery with 120W fast charging that offers a full charge in 19 minutes.

Xiaomi 13

Score: 1,275,164 points
Price in India: NA

The vanilla variant of the Xiaomi 13 is not available in India, leaving the Pro variant to be the only one in its series that sells here right now. It isn’t entirely clear if the Xiaomi 13 could get launched here on a future date, but with falling shipment numbers as per the latest IDC data, a launch of a more affordable premium phone might not be entirely out of the question for Xiaomi.

Key specifications include 6.36-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision certification. Performance chops are handled by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. The rear camera setup features a 50MP main unit along with Leica certification and 8K video recording, while the front camera features a 32MP unit. The smartphone is powered by a 4,500mAh battery, paired with 67W wired charging that can fully charge it in 38 minutes.

It has the same display properties but with a smaller screen size of 6.1 inches, and combines this with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Other key specifications of the rear and front cameras, as well as storage, RAM, fingerprint sensor and wireless connectivity remain the same as that on the S23+, but the vanilla S23 comes with a smaller, 3,900mAh battery with slower, 25W fast charging.
