India’s home services provider, Urban Company, has launched two new smart water purifiers in the country: the Native M3 and Native M3 Pro. Succeeding the M2 series introduced in 2023, the new models aim to address one of the biggest pain points for buyers: maintenance, with an upgraded three-year warranty and continuous filtration, eliminating the need for routine servicing during the warranty period. The Native M3 is priced in India at Rs 22,999, whereas the M3 Pro costs Rs 25,999. While there are a few more features on the M3 Pro, the core functionality of the water purifiers remains the same. The Native M3 series is available in Black shade across India on the Urban Company app and official website.

Native M3 and M3 Pro features

The Urban Company Native M3 series comes with several notable upgrades, including no filter replacement or routine servicing for the whole three years. This is attributed to the company’s long-life filtration technology, which could be a game-changer, challenging the established norms of the industry. The purifiers also ensure 100 percent RO purification, with all incoming water passing through the RO membrane to remove heavy metals, chemicals, and other contaminants.

The M3 Pro feature a food-grade stainless-steel storage tank, while advanced mineralisation and pH balancing are designed to improve the taste of drinking water and restore essential minerals. Both models benefit from bigger filters compared to their predecessors, along with Smart Rinse and RO Life Booster technologies. As for the smart features, the M3 series is compatible with the Urban Company app, which can be used by users to monitor filter health, water quality, and other performance metrics in real time.

The Native M3 Pro, meanwhile, also features a dot-matrix smart display that provides on-device status updates, such as water dispensed, TDS level, weather outside, and more. The company says the Native lineup combines its smart appliances with professional installation, app-based monitoring, and its after-sales service network to offer a more reliable ownership experience, moving beyond the traditional one-time appliance purchase model.

“For years, the water purifier industry has normalised frequent servicing, filter replacements and high maintenance costs. We believe customers deserve a better ownership experience. Native M3 Pro is designed to solve these pain points through long-life filtration, connected monitoring and dependable after-sales support, all backed by an unconditional three-year warranty. This launch reflects our philosophy of building products that are durable, thoughtfully designed, easy to use and smart,” said Varun Khaitan, Co-Founder and COO, Urban Company.

The Native M3 series could be a good buy for users looking for a water purifier without the recurring maintenance cost.
