Vivo S2 dummy unit reveals complete design ahead of India launch
Vivo S2 is rumoured to launch in India on August 6th, though the company is yet to officially start teasing the device. That hasn’t stopped the leaks from coming in, though. Last week, we exclusively revealed a first (albeit low-resolution) look at the Vivo S2 along with some key specifications; we now have an even better look at the design courtesy of hands-on videos of dummy units shared on social media platforms.

Vivo S2 design details
Some accounts on X have shared live, hands-on videos of dummy units of the upcoming Vivo S2. The videos show the back of the phone, and it’s clear that the Vivo S2’s USP is its design language. Promotional material obtained by us last week also shows Vivo highlighting its “flagship design” and camera module as key selling points.
Videos of the dummy units show the Vivo S2 in three colour options: white, pink and blue. Their official names aren’t known at the moment.

Vivo S2 specifications (rumoured)
We exclusively reported last week that the Vivo S2 will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 chipset, the same as the Vivo V70 FE and Vivo V60e. The dual rear camera setup at the back will include a 50MP Sony sensor with support for 4K video recording. As per the tipster who shared the hands-on video, the Vivo S2 sports a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display, an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 32MP selfie camera, and a 7,000mAh battery. More should be revealed, including official teasers from the brand, in the days leading up to the launch.

The Vivo S2 will restart the S series after the Vivo S1 back in 2019. However, while the Vivo S1 was a budget smartphone, expect the Vivo S2 to be a slightly more premium offering that is expected to take on the likes of the OnePlus Nord 6, Motorola Edge 70 Pro, and others.
