Vivo has expanded the colour options for the mid-range Vivo T5x in India with the introduction of a new Fusion Red variant. The smartphone, which debuted earlier this year as part of the company’s performance-oriented T series, retains the same hardware while offering buyers another finish to choose from.
The new Vivo T5x red colour option is available starting today through the Vivo India e-store, Flipkart and authorised retail stores. Alongside the launch, the company is offering an instant discount of up to Rs 2,000 on Axis Bank, HDFC Bank and SBI Card transactions, as well as up to six months of no-cost EMI. The Fusion Red variant joins the existing Cyber Green and Star Silver colour options.
The Vivo T5x 5G is currently priced at Rs 24,999 for the 6GB + 128GB model, Rs 27,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant and Rs 30,999 for the 8GB + 256GB version. The smartphone was originally launched in India in March this year with a starting price of Rs 18,999, before hikes pushed it into the sub-Rs 25,000 segment.
At its current price, the Vivo T5x 5G competes with rivals such as the iQOO Z11x, OnePlus N6, Realme P4x and others. By introducing a new colour option instead of refreshing the hardware, Vivo appears to be aiming to keep the device relevant while attracting buyers looking for a different design.
The Vivo T5x 5G features a 6.72-inch Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Turbo processor and packs a 7,200mAh battery with 44W FlashCharge support. For photography, the smartphone includes a 50MP Sony primary camera, while software features are handled by OriginOS 6, which also brings several AI-powered tools. The device also offers IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, along with Military Grade Shock Resistance for improved durability.
Large batteries have become an increasingly important selling point in the mid-range segment, with brands focusing on extended battery life alongside capable processors and high-refresh-rate displays. The T5x 5G follows this trend by combining a sizeable battery with durability features that are still relatively uncommon at this price.
For buyers, the Fusion Red variant offers a new aesthetic without changing the overall experience. If you’re looking for a standout colour option in this price bracket, the T5x is a good option as most other competitors offer the more minimal, standard colours.
