It appears that Vivo is on a roll lately by releasing a bunch of smartphones in the upper midrange segment. After debuting the Vivo V70 FE, the company appears to be preparing behind the scenes for the Vivo V80 Lite, one of the upcoming phones in the purported V80 lineup. Since it has been spotted on multiple certification websites, the smartphone’s launch shouldn’t be far off.

The Vivo V80 Lite was recently spotted on Geekbench with the model number ‘V2626‘. The listing also reveals that the smartphone scored 937 and 2,654 in the benchmarking platform’s single-core and multi-core tests, respectively, while running Android 16.

Furthermore, the listing mentions MediaTek MT6858 as the phone’s CPU/processor. While this particular chipset model belongs to the Dimensity 7100, the GPU’s reported maximum clock speed of 2.5GHz suggests it could actually be the Dimensity 7300e, which was recently featured in the Vivo Y600 Pro. Besides that, the listed ‘Mali-G610 MC2′ is the same CPU found in the Dimensity 7300e.
Moving on to the TUV certification, which verifies that a specific electronic device meets international safety standards required for consumer market release, it details that the Vivo V80 Lite with the same model number V2626 could support up to 44W fast charging.
Earlier, the Vivo V80 Lite surfaced on Malaysia’s SIRIM, a testing and quality check organisation website, with the V2626 model number, while Europe’s EEC certification mentions that the device could also feature ‘V2630’ as its model number, per an X post. From what we know so far, the Vivo V80 Lite could run on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300e, feature Android 16 out of the box, and likely support 44W fast charging. Since the Vivo V70 Lite didn’t launch here in India, it’s likely that the V80 Lite could meet the same fate. The V70 Lite was launched in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for AED 1,099 for the base 8GB+128GB storage model, and in select Middle Eastern markets.
Considering the constant rise in smartphone prices due to the ongoing memory shortage situation, the Vivo V80 Lite could certainly fetch a higher launch price than its predecessor. Apart from that, since the V series has always been design-centric, the smartphone could flaunt a distinct design to appeal to buyers who wish for a fashionable device to go around with.
As for the Dimensity 7300e, which appears to be an overclocked version of the Dimensity 7100 found on the Infinix Note Edge, the processor should be more than capable of handling daily tasks, such as opening several apps and multitasking between them, browsing websites and social media, and playing light to casual games.
