Vivo has a power-packed launch in China on March 30th. It’s when Vivo’s most ambitious phone to date, the X300 Ultra, will debut. Alongside it, the Vivo X300s and Vivo Pad 6 Pro are also set to launch. What’s interesting this time is that the Vivo X300 Ultra is strongly speculated to launch globally, and possibly in India too. Vivo has been teasing its upcoming devices and while the spotlight is firmly on camera hardware, the latest teasers shift attention to design, revealing a interesting colour palette.

Vivo X300 Ultra, X300s, Pad 6 Pro colour options

The Vivo X300 Ultra will be offered in Film Green, Silver Tone, and Black colours. The interesting bit here is the dual-tone finish, which may appear subtle but adds a nice touch to the overall aesthetic. In contrast, the Vivo X300s introduces a slightly more expressive touch with Dream Core Purple joining the green and silver options.

The Vivo Pad 6 Pro follows a similar visual language with Purple, Green, and Grey variants, alongside a clean rear design anchored by a circular camera module. While tablets rarely compete on design flair, Vivo appears keen on maintaining consistency across its ecosystem devices.

Vivo X300 Ultra, X300s camera expectations

Beyond colours, Vivo is doubling down on imaging, an area where its X-series flagships have consistently stood out. The X300 Ultra is confirmed to feature a 200MP Sony LYT-901 sensor, paired with a 400mm Zeiss Telephoto Extender Kit, claimed to deliver a pure optical 200MP output at 17.4x zoom and can push all the way to 1600mm.

The X300s, while positioned a step below, is not far behind. It is also tipped to include a 200MP Zeiss-tuned camera system. This could be paired with a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens. Vivo has also teased a new colour science system, referred to as “Blueprint Native Color,” which could further enhance image processing and colour accuracy. This could be Vivo’s attempt to appeal to enthusiasts looking for a more authentic, camera-like output.

Taken together, the X300 Ultra and X300s highlight how Vivo is refining its flagship playbook. The Ultra model continues to push boundaries with specialised camera hardware, while the X300s narrows the gap by bringing many of those capabilities to a more accessible tier. Vivo’s aggressive push in camera hardware, particularly with the 200MP sensor and Zeiss collaboration, reflects a wider industry trend where camera innovation remains a key battleground for premium smartphones, as seen with recent launches from Xiaomi with the 17 Ultra and the upcoming Find X9 Ultra as well.

For those considering a flagship upgrade, the Vivo X300 Ultra is shaping up to be a niche but powerful option, especially if photography sits at the top of your priority list. The Vivo X300s, on the other hand, could strike a more practical balance between camera performance, battery life, and everyday usability. That said, with the launch currently limited to China, global availability, including India, remains uncertain.
