Vivo Y500 4G is set to make its global debut soon. The brand has officially started teasing the launch of the Vivo Y500 4G in Nepal, giving consumers an early look at what could become one of the most battery-focused smartphones in its segment. This is the 4G version of the Vivo Y500 5G, which launched in China last September.
Vivo Y500 4G specifications: what to expect
Vivo has confirmed that the Y500 4G will feature a 1.5K Infinity AMOLED display and a large 8,100mAh BlueVolt battery, positioning it as a compelling option for users prioritising multimedia consumption and long-lasting battery life. With an 8,100mAh battery, the Vivo Y500 4G is expected to deliver multi-day usage for regular and power users alike. Also, a 1.5K resolution in the budget segment is quite rare, as most phones are capped at FHD+.

While Vivo has not disclosed the launch date or processor details, recent listings on the Google Play Console suggest the smartphone could be powered by a Unisoc T7300 chipset, paired with 8GB RAM and Android 16 out of the box. Promotional images also reveal a white colour option and a vertically stacked rear camera design.
The upcoming 4G model appears to borrow from the Vivo Y500 5G but with some compromises, which is expected. The 5G version features a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, a 6.77-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, a 50MP primary camera, and 90W fast charging support for its 8,200mAh battery.
Compared to most smartphones in the sub-Rs 20,000 segment, the Vivo Y500 4G’s standout advantage is likely to be its battery capacity, which exceeds the 6,000mAh batteries commonly found in competing devices. The AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution could further enhance its appeal for streaming, gaming, and everyday use.
If the Unisoc chipset delivers reliable day-to-day responsiveness, the Vivo Y500 4G could emerge as an attractive choice for users seeking exceptional battery life without moving into a higher price bracket. For users prioritising battery life and a good display on a budget, this device could be worth waiting for, especially if the price aligns with expectations.
