Xiaomi is set to bring the T-series back to India after more than four years, and early teasers suggest the Xiaomi 17T will debut as a camera-focused premium smartphone with a large battery and Leica-backed imaging features. The Xiaomi 17T series launches globally on May 28th, and the standard variant is confirmed to launch in India on June 4th.
A tipster has now spilled the beans on its expected spec sheet and pricing in India, and here’s what to expect.
Xiaomi 17T India price details
According to tipster Abhishek Yadav, the Xiaomi 17T could launch in India at an expected starting price of Rs 59,999. The Xiaomi 17T is tipped to launch in two variants: 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB. If the leaked pricing is accurate, the Xiaomi 17T will compete with the likes of the OnePlus 15R, OPPO Reno 15 Pro Mini, and Motorola Signature.
Key specifications
The leak suggests the Xiaomi 17T will feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K LTPS AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision support and up to 3500 nits peak brightness. Dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support are also expected. The phone is tipped to use the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. Xiaomi is reportedly claiming AnTuTu scores crossing 2.2 million.
While the chipset should comfortably handle gaming and everyday multitasking, some rivals in this price range use the newer Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. That may give competing devices an edge, particularly for buyers focused mainly on gaming. The Xiaomi 17T is expected to pack a 6500mAh silicon-carbon battery with 67W charging support, which is acceptable but not segment-leading.
The Xiaomi 17T’s camera setup appears to be one of its main focus areas. The phone is tipped to feature a Leica-backed triple rear camera system with a 50MP Light Hunter 800 primary sensor, a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 5X optical zoom, and a 12MP ultrawide camera. Xiaomi is also tipped to offer 4K 60fps recording support across all rear cameras, while the front camera may support 4K 30fps recording.
Xiaomi has already confirmed parts of the design through official teasers. The phone will feature flat edges, Leica-branded rear cameras and at least two global colour options, including Violet and Deep Blue. The 17T is also expected to launch with Android 16 and an IP68-rated build.
Buyers looking for a premium phone with stronger zoom cameras and long battery life may find the Xiaomi 17T more appealing than some performance-first rivals in this segment. However, users who prioritise sustained gaming performance or the latest flagship chipset may still lean toward alternatives powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 5.
