Xiaomi 17T India launch date, time
The Xiaomi 17T is confirmed to launch in India on June 4th. The handset will most likely be unveiled at a virtual event, which will be live streamed across India via the company’s social media channel and YouTube handle. It’s worth noting that the Xiaomi 17T Pro, which offers a more powerful chipset, main camera, and battery, is not launching in India alongside the Xiaomi 17T.
Xiaomi 17T specifications
Since the Xiaomi 17T has already been launched globally, we already know what to expect. Simultaneously, the OEM has also confirmed a few key specifications of the smartphone. These include:

- MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra SoC
- 5X Leica telephoto camera with up to 115mm focal length
- 6,500mAh battery, 67W fast charging
The hardware is identical to the global variant. Globally, the Xiaomi 17T also sports a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and support for HDR10+ as well as Dolby Vision. The panel also covers 100 percent of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and is claimed to offer up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness.
The MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra SoC ticking at the Xiaomi 17T’s core is paired with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. Additionally, the smartphone boasts Xiaomi’s in-house Surge T1 Plus and T1S chips, which are expected to handle connectivity and power management-related tasks. To dissipate heat, the smartphone features a 3D Ice Loop cooling system designed to improve thermal management during gaming and extended workloads.
Xiaomi has even equipped the Xiaomi 17T with support for Astro Communication, a feature claimed to enable offline communication over distances of up to 1.3 kilometres in select situations. In optics, the Xiaomi 17T packs a Leica Complete Camera system, comprising a 50MP Light Fusion 800 main sensor, a 12MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP 5x periscope telephoto camera. Up front, the smartphone packs a 32MP shooter in the punch-hole setup for selfies and video calls.

Software-wise, the Xiaomi 17T runs Android 16-based HyperOS 3 out of the box and is expected to support several Xiaomi ecosystem features for seamless connectivity with other Xiaomi devices. Backing the smartphone is a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for 67W wired fast charging.
Xiaomi 17T price in India (expected)
Per the latest leak, the Xiaomi 17T will be priced in India at Rs 65,999 for the entry-level 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. The price of the top-end 512GB storage option has not been revealed yet.
