However, the Moto G77 Power has several flaws that might make you want to consider alternatives. Here are a few quick reasons to help you decide whether you should buy it.

Tall, smooth, and sufficiently vibrant display
Despite relatively large bezels and an LCD panel, the G77 Power’s expansive 6.72-inch Full HD+ display doesn’t disappoint when it comes to binge-watching content. While AMOLED displays might still have the upper hand in producing better contrast, the LCD panel outputs vibrant enough colours in most scenarios, whether you’re viewing social media posts, browsing the web, or going through photos in the gallery.
Unlike other custom skins, despite being a midrange device, the Moto G77 Power runs every app, except unsupported games, at a 120Hz refresh rate, resulting in a cohesive, smooth scrolling experience.
Tried and tested design
Although the phone’s appearance may seem repetitive, since the same design was featured on previous Motorola releases, such as the Moto G37 Power, G57 Power, and others, there’s no denying that the build offers comfortable ergonomics.
Strong battery life
Another area where the Moto G77 Power leads the way is battery life. The 7,000mAh cell provided us over nine hours of screen on time on a single charge over the course of three days. The usage included watching YouTube videos, scrolling Instagram, chatting on WhatsApp, and playing games, such as Clash Royale, for a few minutes a day.
While this can be considered casual use, if you’re willing to push the phone further by playing games for hours or clicking pictures, the Moto G77 Power should still achieve excellent results, given the large battery capacity and excellent optimisation.
Top-notch audio experience
Along with rocking Dolby Atmos-backed stereo speakers, the Moto G77 Power stands out by including a 3.5mm headphone jack, which has become a rare sighting in phones priced above Rs 25,000.
The speakers deliver loud and crisp output, while the headphone jack is a nifty addition for those who still rely on wired audio solutions, especially users preferring IEMs over TWS or neckbands for their superior soundstage and less compression.
Reasons to skip Moto G77 Power
Set to receive just one Android update
In a segment where smartphone OEMs are delivering at least two OS upgrades, the Moto G77 Power is promised just one OS update, i.e. Android 17. While the latest version, Hello UI based on Android 16, offers several nifty additions from prior versions, such as Live Updates, a new quick settings panel, and tons of brand new lockscreen clock styles, the longevity falls short of the competition.

On the positive side, the Moto G77 Power will gain three years of security updates, which is on par with the competition. Primary camera needs work
Despite utilising the Sony LYTIA 600 1/2-inch primary camera sensor, the Moto G77 Power doesn’t produce results as appealing as previous Motorola models with the same sensor, such as the G67 Power (review). For instance, the details and clarity felt lacking, which could be due to the Dimensity 6400’s inferior ISP compared to the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC found on the G67 Power.
While the images are sharp on their own, the fineness falls apart when you zoom in. On the other hand, daylight shots carry slightly boosted warm tones, while the brightness is generally on the lower side. At night, though, the G77 Power has good control over exposure and colours, making the scene look close to reality.
