CES 2026: HP announces the EliteBoard G1a, a full AI PC built into a keyboard and a new Series 7 Pro monitor

Highlights

At CES 2026, HP has introduced the EliteBoard G1a, a fully functional “Next Gen AI PC” built entirely inside a slim keyboard. Alongside this unique device, the company unveiled the Series 7 Pro 4K Monitor, a professional-grade display featuring Neo:LED technology. Let’s check it out in a bit more detail below:

HP EliteBoard G1a: The 750g Desktop

The EliteBoard G1a challenges the traditional definition of a desktop by packing an entire computer into a chassis that is just 12mm thick and weighs 750g. That is less than half the weight of a standard notebook. Despite its size, it does not compromise on power, running on an AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series processor capable of delivering over 50 TOPS of NPU performance for local AI tasks.

This device can connect to any display, effectively turning any screen into a secure workspace. It features HP Smart Sense and AMD’s Auto State Management to balance performance and cooling, along with an optional built-in battery for true mobility. On the security front, it includes HP Wolf Security for Business, which offers hardware-enforced defences against quantum threats and firmware attacks [conversation_history].

HP Series 7 Pro 4K Monitor

To complement the new form factor, HP launched the Series 7 Pro. This is a 4K monitor built for creatives who need precision. It features Neo:LED technology and “IPS Black” performance for deeper contrast and colour accuracy. It also serves as a connectivity hub, offering Thunderbolt 4 with 140W power delivery to drive data, video, and charging through a single cable.

Availability

Both the EliteBoard G1a and the Series 7 Pro 4K Monitor will launch on HP.com in March 2026. Pricing will be announced closer to the release date

Accessories & Other Updates

HP also expanded its accessory lineup with a focus on ergonomics. New additions include a pink version of the HP Tilt Ergonomic Mouse 720M and a new compact 65W GaN Wall Charger that is smaller and lighter for travel. The company also launched the HP Protective Series laptop sleeves, which are lightweight and water-resistant.

HP has also updated its broader PC portfolio. The brand has refreshed the consumer-focused HP OmniBook Ultra 14 and HP OmniStudioX. On the business side we saw the introduction of the HP EliteBook X G2 Series, a premium laptop line built specifically for AI workflows.
