Computex 2026: MediaTek shows next‑gen edge, automotive and data center AI platforms

Highlights

At Computex 2026, MediaTek will showcase a broad lineup of next‑generation edge‑to‑cloud technologies under the theme “AI Without Limits”. The company says its focus is on the coming “Agentic AI” era, where devices can autonomously handle tasks across phones, cars, home devices and the cloud.

On the show floor, MediaTek plans to highlight its Wi‑Fi 8 solutions, edge computing platforms for tablets, automotive and IoT, early 6G and satellite communication tech, and new data centre platforms designed for AI workloads. Let’s look at it in a bit more detail below.

MediaTek at Computex 2026

For AI computing, MediaTek is working closely with NVIDIA to demonstrate NVIDIA DGX Spark, a desktop‑class Agentic AI workstation built on the NVIDIA GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip. It combines a 1‑PetaFLOP GPU and 20‑core CPU with shared LPDDR5X memory to run large AI models locally for autonomous task orchestration. MediaTek will also show one of the first gaming monitors using NVIDIA’s new G‑SYNC Pulsar scaler chip

In automotive, the Dimensity AX C‑X1 smart cockpit platform integrates NVIDIA’s AI and gaming technologies to enable richer in‑car experiences, while the Dimensity AX MT2739 telematics platform supports 3GPP Release 18 5G and satellite‑based video calling, with built‑in AI to reduce call stutter during coverage handovers.

MediaTek is also pushing new SoCs for high‑end tablets, Chromebooks, e‑readers, IoT, drones and smart home gear. It includes the Pentonic 800 TV chip, which claims to be the first AI TV SoC to support Dolby Vision 2. On the cloud side, MediaTek’s Data Center Solutions group is building full AI platforms that combine custom accelerators, advanced packaging and high‑speed interconnects for better performance per watt. The company is also previewing Co‑Packaged Optics and MicroLED‑based optical links aimed at higher‑bandwidth, lower‑power data centre interconnects.

Computex 2026 is also the centrestage where MediaTek plans to show its early 6G and Wi‑Fi 8 work. The brand describes the Filogic 8800 as the world’s first cross-generation-interoperable Wi-Fi 8 chipset, paired with “Filogic AI” features like AI-driven network diagnostics and power-saving capabilities. MediaTek will also highlight 6G radio interoperability demos and a 6G device collaborative MIMO concept that allows phones and wearables to pool their signals for higher throughput and lower latency.
