CORSAIR AIR 5400 launched in India: a triple-chamber mid-tower designed to redefine PC cooling

CORSAIR has launched the new AIR 5400, a triple-chamber mid-tower PC case that aims to deliver a major leap in thermal efficiency and design flexibility. The AIR 5400 takes inspiration from CORSAIR’s original dual-chamber AIR 540, which was launched back in 2013. Meanwhile, the new model brings a more advanced layout that separates the CPU, GPU and PSU into distinct cooling lines.

Pricing and availability

The CORSAIR AIR 5400 is priced at Rs 18,999 and is now available via CORSAIR’s official website and authorised retailers with a two-year warranty. Buyers can choose between black and white colour options, both of which deliver the same performance-oriented triple-chamber design.

Triple-chamber design for better thermals

The standout feature of the AIR 5400 is its dedicated CPU cooling chamber in the front of the chassis, designed for 360mm AIO liquid coolers. Unlike traditional setups that pull in warm GPU air, this chamber ensures cooler air intake directly from outside, which should improve CPU temperature. Furthermore, the GPU also gets its own isolated chamber with up to 430mm of clearance, helping high-end graphics cards maintain consistent airflow.

The case features dual airflow ducts, which include one functional and one aesthetic, allowing air to move directly from three preinstalled reverse rotor fans to the GPU. CORSAIR also offers two versions of the AIR 5400:

Practical Design for Everyone

A wraparound swing-open glass panel provides a near panoramic view of the internals, while CORSAIR’s RapidRoute 2.0 cable system should be able to make the cable management modular and customizable. Brand says the case also supports reverse connector motherboards from ASUS, MSI and Gigabyte and includes multiple USB Type-C ports, an anti-sag GPU arm and QuikTurn screws, which would allow for easy assembly.

The CORSAIR AIR 5400 is targeted at PC enthusiasts who want a showpiece aesthetic without compromising much on CPU and GPU cooling efficiency. It’s one of the most experimental chassis in years. By shifting CPU cooling into its own chamber and dedicating airflow directly to the GPU, it will be interesting to see how well this balances thermal performance, noise reduction, and showpiece aesthetics.
