Google’s November 2025 Pixel Drop brings Remix for Messages, Scam Detection for India and more

Highlights

Google has announced the latest Pixel Feature Drop for November 2025, adding multiple AI tools and creative features to its Pixel smartphones. The update brings new capabilities in Google Messages, better notification handling, and extends safety features like scam alerts to more countries.

One of the standout additions is the Remix feature in Google Messages, powered by Google’s Nano Banana image editing model. This lets users transform any photo into various artistic styles, such as 3D animation, anime, or even sketches. It works in chats, where both people have the ability to edit and remix the same image without having to leave the app. More importantly, though, the recipient can view it even if they aren’t using a Pixel phone.

Notifications are getting smarter on Google Pixel devices with AI-powered summaries that can sum up long group chats and message threads directly in the notification panel. Starting December 2025, the phones will also start automatically organising and muting lower-priority notifications to reduce distractions.

Google is also expanding Scam Detection to more regions. Initially available only in select countries, it will now reach Pixel 9 and newer models in Australia, Canada, India, Ireland, and the UK. It uses AI to study message patterns and issue a “Likely Scam” warning for potentially fraudulent messages.

Meanwhile, the Call Notes feature, which records calls and generates transcripts and summaries, is expanding to Australia, Canada, Ireland, Japan, and the UK. Other added features include a new crisis badge in the VIP widget, which would alert users in case of nearby floods and other emergencies, and a Power Saving mode for Google Maps, which aims to make navigation visuals simpler to save battery.
