KRAFTON India launches BGMI Campus MVP, a 90-day student ambassador programme across 17 IITs and 28 NITs

KRAFTON India has announced BGMI Campus MVP, a 90-day student leadership program designed to build BGMI communities at India’s top engineering schools. The program brings together 150 student ambassadors from 17 IITs and 28 NITs. Their tasks include organising tournaments, creating gaming content, hosting campus events, and encouraging peer engagement within their institutions.

Campus MVP consists of three phases:

Ambassadors earn Rank Points for completing tasks in each phase. This unlocks a tiered reward system that includes welcome kits, food and e-commerce vouchers, in-game currency, gaming gear such as trigger sets and premium headphones, and a Level 3 backpack for higher ranks. The five top-performing ambassadors nationally achieve Conqueror rank with total rewards of up to Rs 15,000. Players recruited by ambassadors can also win prizes at each stage, from food vouchers in Phase 1 to BGMI merchandise in Phase 3.

The scale of interest

The program received over 16,000 applications from students across more than 5,000 institutions nationwide. From these, 150 ambassadors were selected for the first cohort, with an additional 100 shortlisted as reserves. The number of applications relative to available spots, about 107 applicants per selected ambassador, reflects strong demand from India’s student gaming community for structured engagement with the platform beyond casual gaming.

KRAFTON has indicated that the top performers and lessons learned from this first cohort will shape a broader rollout to more institutions in the future, suggesting that Campus MVP is meant to be a scalable, ongoing program rather than a one-time effort.
