  • OnePlus 15 is launching in China on October 27th.
  • The phone comes in a new minimalistic design with a squircle camera island.
  • The OnePlus flagship will no longer have Hasselblad cameras.

Days before it goes official in China, the OnePlus 15’s price has been leaked, even as the company continues to reveal major specifications and tease the phone. As per new reports, the upcoming OnePlus flagship might begin at a lower cost than its predecessor.

Tipster Arsene Lupin (@MysteryLupin) has claimed on X that the 16GB RAM + 512GB storage version of the OnePlus 15 will cost GBP 949 (approximately Rs 1.11 lakh) in the UK. For comparison, the same OnePlus 13 configuration is currently being sold at GBP 999 (approx Rs 1.17 lakh), which suggests a possible cut of around GBP 50. Unconfirmed reports indicate that the Indian base variant may be priced between Rs 70,000 and Rs 75,000. OnePlus 13 launched in India at Rs 69,999, so it’ll be interesting to note if the device actually gets a price cut.

OnePlus 15 has been confirmed to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and a 7,300mAh Glacier Battery that charges with 120W Super Flash Charge and 50W Wireless Flash Charge. Display features include a third-generation 1.5K BOE Flexible Oriental OLED panel with up to 165Hz refresh rate. The new screen is said to provide 13 percent improved peak brightness and close to 12 percent improved colour accuracy compared to the last generation.

OnePlus 15 new camera design

On the imaging side, the company has discontinued its five-year-long partnership with Hasselblad and will instead introduce the new OPPO-developed Lumo image processing engine. The phone will feature a triple 50-megapixel rear configuration, which will include a periscope tele camera featuring an 85mm equivalent focal length for 3.5x optical zoom. The primary camera will have 4K 120fps Dolby Vision recording capabilities, indicating an emphasis on cinematic video recording.

With the latest leak suggesting a minor price cut and official specs validating hardware upgrades on paper at least, the OnePlus 15 seems set to combat rivals. The company could reveal the India launch date on October 29th, after the China launch on October 27th.
