TEMPT Maestro power bank review: fast charging, and the convenience of two built-in cables

Power banks are mainly about charging on the go and being able to juice up your devices when an electrical socket is hard to find. And power banks that come with built-in cables add a layer of convenience that’s good to have. But do you know what’s better than a power bank with a built-in cable? A power bank with two built-in cables. The TEMPT Maestro boasts exactly this, packing in not one but two built-in Type-C cables alongside 67W fast charging and a digital display, complete with a 20,000mAh battery pack. Let’s check it out a little more in detail.

Design and features


The Maestro comes in two hues, White and Dynamic Blue, and I’ve been living with the white variant, which has a glossy finish that looks smart enough on a desk or in a bag. At 20,000mAh, though, don’t expect it to disappear into your pocket — it’s on the bulkier, heavier side, which is par for the course at this capacity.

The circular display up front that shows your exact battery percentage is quite handy. It’s better than the vague string of LED dots most rival power banks still make do with. There’s a side button to wake it up when it’s gone idle.


Up top sit a Type-C port and a Type-A QC4.0 port, but the real headline feature is the pair of Type-C cables built into the power bank itself. One is lanyard-style and sits on top; the other loops halfway around the body and tucks flush into a groove when you’re not using it, so it doesn’t dangle around loose. Add these two built-in cables to the two ports, and you can charge up to four devices simultaneously — a genuinely handy proposition.


If I have one gripe, it’s that neither cable retracts. Even one retractable cable would have made day-to-day use that much more convenient. Both are also on the shorter side, so you’ll either end up holding the power bank and your phone together, or placing them side by side while they charge. The Type-C port up top does let you plug in your own longer cable as a workaround, so all isn’t lost.

Rounding out the feature set, the Maestro supports PD3.0, PPS, QC4.0 and SFC2.0 fast-charging protocols, so it should play nice with most devices you own. It also features multiple layers of protection (against overheating, over-voltage, over-current, overcharging, over-discharging, and short circuits) to ensure whatever you’re charging doesn’t come to any harm in the process. Suffice it to say, TEMPT hasn’t cut corners on the safety front.

Performance


I put the Maestro through its paces with a MacBook Air and a Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. On the MacBook Air, the Maestro took it from 10 percent to 60 percent in a little over an hour and to 90 percent in about 2 hours. The Galaxy S26 Ultra charged 30 percent in just 25 minutes, and touched 90 percent in 55 minutes — a brisk pace that lines up closely with TEMPT’s claims. In short, you won’t be disappointed as far as charging speeds are concerned. Moreover, the power bank itself can be charged at up to 67W speeds, and charged up fully in less than 2 hours — quite impressive for a 20,000mAh battery.

The display, as I mentioned, is a genuine step up over the LED-dot indicators you get on rival power banks — knowing your exact battery percentage rather than a rough approximation is a small thing that adds up over a day of use.

Verdict


Priced at Rs 4,099, the TEMPT Maestro comes across as decent value for money. You’re getting a high-capacity battery, genuinely fast charging, a display that’s actually useful, and the real headline act — two integrated Type-C cables that let you charge two devices the moment you unbox it, with zero dependency on extra cables or accessories. Factor in the additional Type-A and Type-C ports, and you can juice up to four devices at once.

I wish one of the cables had been a retractable one, which would have made the whole experience just that bit more convenient. But that’s a minor niggle set against everything else the Maestro gets right. If you’re after a power bank that does away with the usual cable-hunting routine, this one’s an easy recommendation.
