After the studio heavily promoted the fact that actress Amala Paul would spend much of the film nude, many fans were outraged and felt mislead when they discovered that no actual nudity was shown in the film.
Amala Paul said in an interview that director Rathna gave her the option of wearing a special costume in the nude scenes, but she said she chose to perform the scenes fully nude in front of the 15-person crew even though none of the nudity would be shown on screen.
