Govinda told Pooja Bedi to watch the original South Indian version of the film. He wanted her for the role done by Silk Smitha. He told Pooja it was a parallel lead role. Pooja saw the original and was disgusted. She thought Silk Smitha's role was that of vamp that was barely wearing any clothes. She vented out at Govinda in the media for offering her such a cheap role. The role then was eventually done by Archana Puran Singh.
The song filmed on Archana and Govinda was severely edited in the DVD version. It had suggestive dance moves of Archana cut out.
