TRIVIA

Trivia

First 3-D animated movie from Hong Kong or China.

Although DragonBlade was completely made in Hong Kong the film was originally animated and lip-synced to English, one of the city's two official languages. This is because it is technically easier to then dub the English back into Cantonese than if it were the other way around.

World's first 3D animated martial arts movie.

The idea of using "outtakes" (better known as "NG"s in Hong Kong) was used by the director as a homage to Jackie Chan as his films always features out takes during the end credits.

To help animators understand authentic Chinese martial arts' flavor and diversity, the director and animators flew from Hong Kong to Beijing and then traveled 7 hours by train to an obscure town in Shandong. There, reigning all-China wushu champions of the different martial arts styles had come together from all parts of the country, on this rare occasion, to this one place for training.
