TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

Olesya Rulin was 8 years older than her character, 16-year-old Emily, when the movie was shot in January, 2011.

The announcer who started the jumpers for both competitions was Alan Roach, who has been the stadium announcer for the past several Superbowl games and many of baseball's All-Star Games.

Lucinda Smith-Dungy (Joey King) wore the cosplays of 1970's, iconic, restricted-movie, antiheroes like Iris from Taxi Driver [1976] and Alexander DeLarge from Stanley Kubrick's: A Clockwork Orange [1971].

Matthew Modine and Joey King, who play father and daughter in this film, had previously played adversaries in The Dark Knight Rises (2012).

Popular Dialogues

"Emily Smith-Dungy: Okay that's great, but where should you have been at 3:30? Duncan Dungy: You sound like your mother, consumed with time and a schedule. Do not tread that path, remember, it's what you do, not when you do it, it's the what that's important."

"Emily Smith-Dungy: Some people are lucky enough to find their true passion. That's okay, because their passion makes them feel like something. Like somebody. Sometimes it's the only thing that keeps them moving..."
