Mayor of Kingston is a wonderful crime drama that deals with extremely important contemporary issues, specifically highlighting the flawed prison systems in America. The series is quick-paced and the plot development takes place effortlessly. It is the kind of series that keeps getting better with every episode and before you know it you are hooked. The casting is exceptional and the characters really contribute to the intriguing storyline of the series. The show can act as an emotional escape because it is definitely binge-worthy. It is full of grit, raw drama, crime, corruption and so much more that is relevant to society. The characters are given an honest voice which makes them more appealing, realistic, and easy to connect with. The show doesn't exactly have a very unique storyline and is familiar with other crime dramas but even then, it manages to make its mark due to the engaging performances and executions.
