Only Connect : Series 19 Review

Teams of three players from all around the UK compete in Only Connect for the chance to take home the coveted trophy. Knowledge will only go you so far; you also need to have patience and be creative. Making connections between items that at first look might not seem to be related at all is the key. Teams must attempt to identify the connections between four clues that are provided one at a time in the first round of the quiz competition. The fewer hints a team needs to figure out the relationship, the more points they receive. The second round operates similarly, except all of the clues must be in order. The teams must correctly identify the last clue in the sequence in order to get points, as opposed to just identifying the link. In the third round, each team is presented with a "Connecting Wall" made up of 16 seemingly random clues. Teams must properly divide the clues into four groups of four while working against the time. The Missing Vowels round is the final one. Teams are given a category and an associated hint that are both devoid of vowels. To successfully identify the clue, teams must buzz in as soon as possible. The team with the highest score at the conclusion of each game advances in the competition.
