Tu Jhooti Main Makkaar is director Luv Ranjan's comeback to what he does best - massy romantic comedies that can be cringe but entertaining. And this time he does it with Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor at the forefront. The biggest highlight of the movie is its second half, and most specifically the climax, which make it a worthy watch overall. Ironically, or not, it really picks up after Kartik Aaryan's cameo, around the interval. This is a modern love story with a twist that involves families of both the boy and girl who are in love. Contrary to popular opinion, Ranbir actually shines in this frothy romantic role, something which has become a trademark of Aaryan. Although the chemistry between the lead actors is slightly missing, the movie makes for an entertaining watch through its humorous elements and self-aware characters.
